About Surfescape

Overview

This client is a boutique hotel with 3 beautiful surf destinations: Fuerteventura, Sri Lanka and Zanzibar. They needed to give their website a refresh, but also move it from Webflow to Framer, in order to be more autonomous in editing and maintaining it, without depending from their developer.

SEO & GEO

A crucial requirement was to migrate the website without losing their SEO ranking built over the years. Additionally, I proposed the client to improve their site from a GEO perspective.

Process

Strategy

I audited the website's SEO elements (meta tags, accessibility, analytics, ux), then shared a report with the client where I highlighted key insights and opportunities of improvement. This gave a clearer overview to the client and helped define the direction for the website development.

Design

We defined the website architecture and I proposed a few design directions. After choosing the preferred one (more minimal and premium compared to the previous website), I designed a few pages to let the client envision the final result.

Development

I developed the website entirely on framer. It features advanced components and CMS collection, letting the client easily update the website's content autonomously. It also integrates seamlessly with their booking engine, which lets their clients book a room, a table or an experience directly from the new website.
