Ombrage is a premium Framer template for directors, filmmakers and video editors whose work lives in motion. Built for reels, showreels, and video-first portfolios, Ombrage gives you an interactive scrubbing timeline experience inspired by film editing scrubbers, turning your portfolio into a cinematic reel rather than a static gallery.

Perfect for:

Directors & filmmakers
Video editors & motion designers
Music video directors
Commercial & advertising directors
Documentary filmmakers
Fashion film directors
Cinematographers & DPs
Production companies & studios
Video production agencies
Content creators & YouTubers showcasing a body of work
Wedding & event videographers
Talent agencies representing directors, DPs & editors
Photographers & visual artists with an image-led portfolio

✦ New: choose how each project is hosted. Every project can now be set to one of three media types directly from the CMS - uploaded video, Vimeo link, or image only - and the timeline adapts automatically. Point your projects to Vimeo and your video weight leaves Framer entirely: it streams from Vimeo's CDN instead of your site's bandwidth.

Refund Policy: Due to the instant and non-returnable nature of digital products, all purchases are final and refunds will not be issued.

------------------------------

Performance update (08/25)

Major memory and bandwidth improvements on the homepage timeline, background videos and images now load only what's needed, instead of all at once. Fixes stuttering and crashes on phones and tablets.

To update: in the Assets tab, click Update on both TimelineScrubber and TimelineScrubberItem (they work as a pair).

Note: on mobile, videos wider than 2560px now show the project's still image instead of playing - a 4K file is decoded at 4K even on a phone, which is what caused the crashes. If your videos are 1080p, nothing changes. Re-export oversized ones and they'll play again automatically. Adjustable in the component settings.
