Sundial

Sundial is a quiet, editorial portfolio for creative directors, designers and studios — a site that keeps the hours.

The paper of the site follows the light of your city: rose at dawn, warm paper at midday, cream at golden hour, lilac at dusk. Visitors can drag the sundial in the navigation to travel through the day. The palette always stays light and legible.

The home page is an endless horizontal reel of your work. It opens with a hand-drawn signature and a shuffling stack of covers that spreads into the reel. It moves with the wheel, drag, swipe or arrow keys, and the cards ease back as it gains speed.

Built to edit

Projects and Archive live in the CMS. Each project's Format (Portrait or Landscape) sets its card shape in the reel. Type styles and color tokens are set up for the whole site. A Read me page on the canvas explains every part.
