I rebuilt how the three I already have are presented — and the most useful thing I found was hiding in the video player. All three listings had a preview video in the first gallery slot, and all three looked soft. Interface text was mush. I assumed compression and was about to re-record with "better settings", which is the kind of fix that costs a day and changes nothing. So I pulled the master playlist instead. Framer serves preview videos through Mux as adaptive HLS — you can open stream.mux.com/.m3u8 and read the ladder. All three of mine topped out at 1440×1080, at 1.4–1.9 Mbit/s. That number explained everything: → Mux never creates a rendition above the source. Whatever you upload is the ceiling a buyer will ever see. → Framer recommends 1600×1200. And 1440×1080 is exactly 1920×1080 cropped to 4:3 — which is what happens when you export 16:9 and crop afterwards. Cropping doesn't add pixels, it removes them. → On a Retina screen the gallery slot is 700–900 CSS px, so 1400–1800 physical. A 1440px-wide video gets stretched. That's the mush. → Small interface text and thin lines are the worst case for H.264 at that bitrate, and every extra encode pass makes it worse. Mine had two. The fix wasn't better settings. It was setting the aspect ratio at recording time: shrink the browser window to 4:3, record with QuickTime (Retina gives you 2400×1800), edit on a 4:3 timeline, export once at 15–20 Mbit/s, upload that file directly. No crop step, no second encode. You can check your own in a minute: open your listing, find the .m3u8 request, look at the top rendition. If it's below 1600×1200, that's the best your template will ever look to a buyer. Fixing three listings moved more than a fourth template would have. Distribution was the bottleneck, not production.53:T44f,

Day 3 of the daily build challenge.

Today was all about hitting pause on building and diving headfirst into deep R&D for our boutique hotel site. hotel sites are everywhere, but most of them feel like copy-paste templates. I’m trying to avoid that trap.

1/4

The goal isn't just to build something that looks pretty to me—it’s to create a flexible, highly functional framework. Something that actually scales for multi-brand or multi-functional hospitality businesses.

2/4

It’s easy to build for personal satisfaction. It’s a lot harder to build for real user satisfaction. Customization needs to feel seamless for the client, while the end-user experience stays completely frictionless.

3/4

So today was all research, competitor breakdowns, mapping out user journeys, and rethinking how a modern boutique hotel experience should feel online.

4/4

Moving a bit slower on the visual side today, but laying a much better foundation for the long run.

Back at it tomorrow.

OSTRO just got its first-ever sale!

Honestly, I didn't expect it to happen so soon, but seeing that notification pop up hit differently. It’s a huge, big milestone for my Framer template journey and gives me a massive boost to keep pushing forward.

Really happy with this win and super grateful for the support. The Framer journey keeps rolling

let's go! 🔥🔥

Day 4 of building daily. 🛠

Setting up the mood board today. A great boutique hotel isn't just a place to stay—it needs a backstory. It should feel like stepping into a castle with history.

2/3

Locking in two core aesthetic directions:

• Architecture: French-inspired details for scale and elegance.

• Typography: Italian influence for high-end luxury.

3/3

Focusing on the visual language first so the site feels timeless before laying down a single component.

More tweaks coming as the board solidifies. Back at it tomorrow. 🏰

Yesterday, I promised I’d reveal my next niche. Today, we step into it.

I’m focusing on Boutique Hotels inside Framer.

2/5

Why boutique hotels?

Because right now, most Framer templates in this space feel copy-pasted. Very minimal, generic layouts. Almost zero personality.

And that breaks my heart a little.

3/5

Boutique hotels aren’t just places to sleep—they are pure creative expression wrapped inside a real business.

Every corner has a story. The website handling their first impression should feel the exact same way.

4/5

So, I’m stepping in to bridge that gap.

My goal is simple: bring high-level creativity, emotion, and solid design into a niche that desperately needs it. To make templates that actually feel like an experience.

5/5

This is Day 2 of the challenge, and there are many more days to go.

Back on this platform after a pretty long break.

Honestly, it feels weird to post here again, but I’m stepping out of my quiet era with a goal to keep myself accountable.

Starting today, I’m taking on a challenge: I’m going to build my next template entirely in public.

No secrecy, no waiting until it's perfect—just raw, daily updates on the progress, the wins, and whatever breaks along the way.

Tomorrow, I’m dropping a quick post to reveal the exact niche I’m building for.

If you’re into watching products get built from scratch (or just want to see if I actually stick to this daily posting thing), follow along.

Day 1 starts now. 🧵

Thinking about my next Framer template and considering a niche for small medical clinics or local doctors.

Feels like SaaS and portfolio templates are everywhere, but not sure if doctors are actually looking on the Framer Marketplace.

Would you ship this or move on to a different niche?

While researching my latest real estate project, I explored the Framer Marketplace. I found many impressive templates, but most prioritize visuals and animations over user-first design.

I'm taking a different approach—solving real user problems first. Excited to share it soon.

Just curious about the current state of the creator marketplace.

As more and more creators join and more templates are being published every week, are templates still selling as well as they used to, or has Framer 3.0 changed the marketplace in a meaningful way?

I'd love to hear your thoughts, experiences, and any advice you'd give to someone just starting out as a creator.
