I've been building a dark, editorial template for design studios called Cedar, and the best part so far has been the small details.

The home page is a tunnel of project images that drift toward you as you scroll. Work is an index of big project names, and each one pulls its image in when you hover.

It got me wondering how other people think about this.

1. What's the first thing you'd want a visitor to see on a studio site?

2. Which small detail made you remember a site you visited?

Hey everyone,

I've been working on a portfolio template called Marin and wanted to share it with the community.

Instead of the usual scrolling page, your work lives on a desktop. Visitors drag icons around, open folders, and click into projects that open in their own windows with the full case study inside. It's a small idea, but it makes people stop and explore instead of scrolling past.

What's inside:

— Draggable desktop icons for every project

— Project windows with gallery, client, challenge, solution and credits

— About, Services and Gallery folders

— CMS-powered, so adding a project is just adding an item

— A compact contact menu that opens on click

— Responsive on desktop, tablet and mobile

— Welcome page and a short editing guide included in the project

It's built with native Framer features only, no code, and everything is meant to be easy to restyle and make your own.

It's free to use. I've also reworked the interface based on early feedback so it has its own look and doesn't lean on any existing operating system's design.

I'd really like to hear what you think, what feels off, and what you'd want to see added. Happy to answer any questions about how it's put together.

Hey all, Colophon just went live on the Framer Marketplace. It's a new agency template I've been working on.

The look is Swiss editorial: one typeface, a strict grid, and enough white space that the work does the talking. Built for design studios, branding agencies and small creative teams who want that feel without faking it.

A few parts I enjoyed building:

The hero wordmark melts into liquid shapes on hover, and stretches to fit whatever screen it's on

You can switch the hero background between image and video from a single field

Service panels fill the screen and stack on top of each other as you scroll

The work grid is masonry with parallax covers, and the filters turn into a dropdown once you're on phone

The footer has a showreel that opens a YouTube video in a full-screen modal

Everything runs on the CMS: projects, services, journal posts and the team. The header, footer, buttons, work cards and service panels are all components, so a change in one place carries through the whole site.

Hi everyone, I just published Cedar, a new portfolio template on the Framer Marketplace.

It's made for design studios, brand consultancies and solo creative directors who want a confident, moody, editorial feel: near-black backgrounds, full-bleed photography, and type that does the talking.

A few parts I enjoyed building:

parallax cover photos that drift gently against the scroll, contained cleanly within their own frame

project metrics that count up from zero the moment they scroll into view

a floating pill nav and footer that live in one shared layout template, so editing the header once updates all seven pages

an awards table and a services list on the About page, both built from reusable rows with a light-inverting hover state

a "Remix project" badge wired straight to the template's own remix link

Everything runs on the CMS: projects, categories, tags, awards and team members. The header, footer, nav, award rows, service rows and project cards are all components, so a change in one place carries through the whole site.

Meet Quadro — a free Framer template built for studios that want their work to actually stand out.

Dark, editorial layout with a full-bleed hero and a horizontal Motion Layer scroller for featured work. A Works collection powered by CMS, so every project gets its own case-study page — just duplicate an item and fill in the details. Custom cursor and hover interactions throughout, responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile, and a dark theme that's actually built right: every color runs off a shared style, so retheming takes minutes instead of hunting through layers.

Showcase your projects, customize every section, and launch a bold portfolio without starting from scratch.

Just shipped Orchestra — a portfolio template for studios that want their site to move like their work does.

Bold orange-and-black identity, CMS-driven case studies, and all the pages a studio actually needs (stats, services, testimonials, awards). Built it after getting tired of portfolio templates that all look the same.
