One thing Shopify work has taught me:
You can spend hours making a product page look beautiful and still not fix the reason people aren't buying.
I've definitely fallen into that trap.
Tweaking spacing. Changing the hero. Moving the CTA. Trying another layout.
Then realizing the customer was simply thinking:
“Okay... but why should I buy this?”
That's the part of CRO I find interesting.
You're not really designing screens.
You're designing away doubt.
