About Footer Field
Footer Field is a complete site footer with a giant wordmark that rises into place the first time it is seen, then reacts to the pointer: letters are pushed away by the cursor and spring back. On touch screens a tap sends a ripple through the letters.
What you get:
- Up to five link columns. Add links as rows with a page picker (Footer links: column, label, link). The older one-link-per-line text field still works as a fallback.
- Optional logo image with its own link, and Social links rows with a page picker in the bottom bar.
- Copyright line and a Back to top link to any section.
- Columns wrap from up to five to two and then one by the footer's own width, not the window. Below 600px the padding halves and the bottom bar stacks.
- Three theme presets (Ink, Paper, Signal) or six custom colours. Fonts, text size, wordmark weight, fit-to-width or fixed size, left or centre alignment and heading level.
Accessibility and performance:
- Real footer landmark, one navigation region per column named by its title, and a named social links region.
- Every link is a real anchor with a visible name; external links open in a new tab and say so to screen readers. Unsafe link schemes are shown as plain text.
- Keyboard focus ring on every link. Reduced motion shows a still wordmark.
- Animation runs only while letters move and stops at rest. No window or document listeners; only nodes inside the component are touched.
- Still wordmark on the Framer canvas.
